Dominaar continues his sad story.
"After Qokujiii Qa'ik's destruction and the razing of our homeworld, our leadership was thrown into chaos. Blinded by thirst for UrQa blood, the Kalthi youth rallied for an assault on their outpost, Iq' Bana. I tried to stop them, Player, I tried explaining that their judgement was clouded by vengeance. And for it I have been branded a coward."
He smiles bitterly and continues: "The bravery of my people is undisputed, but bravery alone is not enough to defeat the Ur. With the majority of our fleet destroyed in the battle for our homeworld, the Kalthi expeditionary force consisted mainly of civilian ships retrofitted for battle, supply freighters hastily equipped with missile bays and outdated vessels brought back from the scrapyards. On the day of their departure I threatened them with the highest dishonor a Kalthi Jharl can bestow - banishment. Although, considering they were leaving already, it's not surprising that my threat did nothing to dampen their resolve."
The room grows quiet and you do not dare to break Dominaar's solemn mourning. The silence lasts a few minutes, before Dominaar sighs: "We are a dying race, Player. Our couples no longer bear children, they look back to our glorious past, and expect only darkness in the future. Perhaps what we need is some closure."
He lifts his head and looks at you intently. "Player," he says, "you've destroyed many UrQa, and travelled far across this universe. Though Kalthi honor does not allow us to ask a stranger for favors, I do not consider you one. Player if you ever make your way to the outpost of the vile UrQa, try to discern the fate of our expedition. Perhaps this knowledge would allow our people to move on."
With that, Dominaar bids you goodbye and returns to his duties.

There is no doubt that the station below you is dead. The scans reveal no evidence of heat emission, and there are no signs of energy being transferred. Whatever destroyed this base, did a good job of it.
You scout the area for a while, but are unable to find a way inside. You recall your weaponry training, the lessons about base weapons technology in particular. The station might not have any conventional means of access, but what if you descended down the barrel of the heat ray emitter?
It seems to be the only solution available, and you outfit your escape pod with small scale cutting lasers. Leaving your ship floating just outside the base you begin your descent into the abyss. As the silhouette of your ship disappears, a sudden fear overwhelms you. You can almost hear the rumbling of an alien generator spewing forth a wave of searing plasma that rises from the depths and incinerates your pod in nanoseconds.
You do your best to dismiss these fears and eventually make your way to the bottom.
